Friday Night Football is over so my friends and street teamers, Sydney and Ellie, treated ourselves to happy hour to celebrate. We saw a woman PLASTERED when we first got there and she literally fell over and broke a glass. Then her and her friend got up and walked away WITHOUT PAYING for their 10+ drinks!!
I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't a bit drunk in this photo... but from what I remember we went to this cool 3D art gallery place in the West End and this was one of the photos I took. If you've ever been, you know that this big painting looks sort of different in person.
Friday was my dad's birthday and since I'm halfway across the country and missed it, my sister Facetime'd me so we could sing "happy birthday" to him together.
All this week is the Twin Cities Film Festival! Alyssa and I graduated with degrees in Film, TV and Radio and we've done a couple of short films in college so we went to go check it out. They had a panel today about Pitching Your Project so we went to that to talk to fellow filmmakers and we're probably gonna venture to a couple of film screenings happening this week.
I don't know why this made me so joyful but Alyssa and I bought our first Christmas tree. I grew up LOVING Christmas and moments like this are part of the reason I'm so excited Alyssa finally moved here. Putting up a Christmas tree makes me feel excited for the holidays and it's one of the things that will make our apartment feel like a home. We found the perfect tree at Menard's, but we keep arguing over what color decorations to get.
