Taylor Swift is bringing The Life of a Showgirl to the big screen.
On Friday, the "Fortnight" singer confirmed on Instagram that fans will have a limited chance to experience her upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl, out October 3, in theaters surrounded by fellow Swifties for an official release party as they get behind-the-scenes details about the making of her 12th studio album.
"I hereby invite you to a *dazzling* soirée, The Official Release Party of a Showgirl: Oct 3 - Oct 5 only in cinemas!" Swift revealed in the caption, sharing a new photo of her in a bedazzled showgirl ensemble, complete with feathered headpiece and lots of jewels.
The showings will feature not just "the exclusive world premiere" of the music video for her single "The Fate of Ophelia" but "never before seen behind-the-scenes footage of how we made it, cut by cut explanations of what inspired this music, and the brand new lyric videos from my new album The Life of a Showgirl ❤️🔥"
"Looks like it's time to brush off that Eras Tour outfit or orange cardigan... Tickets are on sale now," she added. "Dancing is optional but very much encouraged 💃"
The film will only be in theaters from October 3-5. A limited number of tickets are available at releasepartyofashowgirl.com.
The release party film comes two years after Swift brought her record-breaking tour to theaters with The Eras Tour film, per The Hollywood Reporter. It became the top grossing concert film of all time, bringing in $261.6 million globally.
