A 4-Day Workweek Bill Has Been Reintroduced To The U.S. House

I hope this bill passes because how amazing would it be to have a 4 day workweek? Two days is just not enough to relax and get things done.

According to Complex, there is a bill that has been reintroduced to the House of Representative that challenges the 5 day/40 hour workweek. California Rep. Mark Takano proposed the bill and it would create a "significant change which will increase the happiness of humankind." There have been many countries testing out the 4 day workweek and employees would work 32 hours while still getting paid their current rate. Results showed that the employees had the same productivity compared to the traditional 40 day workweek and most of them prefer the new standard.

“We have before us the opportunity to make common sense changes to work standards passed down from a different era. The Thirty-Two Hour Workweek Act would improve the quality of life of workers, meeting the demand for a more truncated workweek that allows room to live, play, and enjoy life more fully outside of work,” said Rep. Takano.

I hope this passes because we truly need some change to our work lives. What do you think about having a 4 day workweek?
