Lakers Will Retire Pau Gasol's No.16 Jersey During Game Against Grizzlies

Pau Gasol will be the latest to join the legends whose jerseys have been retired into the Lakers' rafters.

Los Angeles Lakers will be honoring Pau Gasol's No. 16 jersey by retiring it in a ceremony at the March 7th game against the Memphis Grizzlies, which is the team he was traded from back in 2008. Alongside Kobe Bryant, Gasol helped lead the Lakers to win two championships back-to-back as well as going to the NBA Finals three times in a row.

Before he retired, Gasol played his final season last fall with his native Spain team. Gasol's No. 16 jersey will hang in the rafters alongside Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O'Neal, Wilt Chamberlain, Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, Jerry West, James Worthy, Gail Goodrich, Jamaal Wilkes, and Elgin Baylor.
