The Florence Center Has A New Clear Bag Policy

In an effort to enhance safety and security, the Florence Center has a new clear bag policy that takes effect December 1, 2019. If you buy a ticket and attend any event at the Florence Center after December 1, you are encouraged not to bring a bag at all. If you must bring one, it has to be clear plastic or vinyl and not exceed 12" x 6" x 12". This policy is already in place at many other venues across the United States, and I have seen many a person taking that long walk back to the car, so please help spread the word and don't let that be you.

Here is their full statement:

The Florence Center will implement a clear bag policy for all reserve-ticketed events effective Sunday, December 1, 2019. Many venues nationwide have adopted this policy in recent years and it has proven to enhance safety. It also helps speed the process of getting people into the venue.
While bags are not encouraged, the following outlines the bags that are permitted:
·Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags that do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” - A logo no larger than 4.5” x 3.4” can be displayed on one side of a permissible clear bag.
·One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
·Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” - approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap
·Medically necessary items (after proper inspection and tagging)
Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to:
·Purses larger than a clutch bag
·Briefcases
·Computer bags
·Diaper Bags
·Binocular cases
·Luggage of any kind
·Camera bags
·Backpacks, clinch/drawstring bags, and fanny packs that are not clear and/or exceed the size restriction
All bags will be subject to search upon arrival and any bags that exceed the permitted size will not be allowed into the Florence Center. There are no provisions available at the venue at this time to store or safeguard any prohibited bags. For a list of additional prohibited items visit florencecenter.com/azguide/prohibited.
