Everyone is always asking for Netflix recommendations so I thought I'd talk about Shimmer Lake. Before we go any further, I would say it's a "Rated R" type of movie, so be aware there's language, violence, etc...
Netflix describes it:
"Unfolding in reverse time, this darkly comic crime thriller follows a local sheriff hunting three bank robbery suspects, one of whom is his brother."
When they say "unfolding in reverse time," the movie is told backwards, which at first was a little confusing, but by the end, I realized is why it's so good. There were hints or clues all throughout that didn't really catch your attention until you get to the end, and then you're like, daaaang I should have known it all along. So much so that I watched it twice just so I could see the beginning with the knowledge of the end.
Does that make any sense?
Just go watch it. You'll understand.
