Starting Monday morning, you can finally publish your novel where Mickey Mouse and Tigger solve mysteries aboard a train.
Here's a list of characters, books, and songs that enter the public domain on Jan. 1st, 2024:
- Mickey Mouse (but only the version depicted in the animated shorts 'Steamboat Willie' and 'Plane Crazy')
- The House at Pooh Corner, which includes the first appearance of Tigger (Winnie the Pooh himself entered the public domain in 2023)
- Agatha Christie's The Mystery of the Blue Train
- The classic World War I novel All Quiet on the Western Front
- The first Laurel and Hardy film, Should Married Men Go Home?
- The songs "I Wanna Be Loved By You", "Let's Do It (Let's Fall In Love)", and "Mack the Knife"
