The streaming numbers are rising for Jason Aldean's controversial song "Try That in a Small Town."
Streams of the song have gone from 1,000 to 228,000 units, and the music video has immersed 16 million views on YouTube this past week. On the music charts, the song debuted at No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Hot Country chart.
This song is now Aldean's highest-charting single in his career on the Hot 100 chart.
"Try That in a Small Town " was released in May, but the controversial video that dropped in July propelled the record. In the video, Jason has images of flag burning, protests, and more. Despite the critics, Jason stands by the song and video.
