Rockstar games says the massive Grand Theft Auto 6 leak over the weekend won't disrupt the game's development.

In a statement posted Monday, the studio confirmed that someone had "illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information... including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto".

Rockstar said it's "extremely disappointed" by the leak, but doesn't expect any "disruption" or "long-term effect" on development, or on its live game services.

Have you checked out the leaked footage yet? Will the leak end up hurting or helping build up hype for GTA 6?
