Phone providers have been trying for years to crack down on robocalls, and yet they still happen daily for most people - so why is it so hard to stop them?
Wired broke down some of the reasons why robocalls are tough to block.
Some companies are concerned that if they're too aggressive about blocking robocalls, legitimate calls will be blocked as well - perhaps even an important call from the bank or a doctor's office.
