Comedian Ray Romano will be setting comedy to the side to play the role of North Carolina State basketball coach Jim Valvano.
The film doesn't have a title yet, but Jimmy V's family will be involved with the film which will coincidentally also be directed by Romano.
"We couldn't be more excited to tell my father's story in the form of a feature film, said his daughter Jamie Valvano.
Coach Jim Valvano was the head coach of the North Carolina State basketball team that won the 1983 NCAA Championship and later was diagnosed with cancer.
Coach V made his memorable "Never Give Up" speech at the ESPY Awards and after his death, the V Foundation was formed.
