The 2022 Winter Olympics are officially underway, with the Opening Ceremonies kicking off Friday morning from Beijing.
A live crowd is in attendance for the ceremony, but it's quieter than usual - Chinese officials have ordered spectators to clap, rather than cheer, due to COVID-19 concerns.
That's not ice the athletes are walking on - it's an illusion created by 125,000 square feet of LED screens making up the floor of Beijing's National Stadium.
If you didn't wake up early to watch it live, don't worry - NBC will rebroadcast the ceremony tonight starting at 8pm EST.
