Computer problems resulted in voting delays in Florence

Computer problems contributed to voting delays at a few precincts today in Florence.

Computer problems at Savanah Grove, Delmae Heights Elementary School, and the Church at Sandhurst, caused delays in voting.

Reports from WPDE:
10:42 a.m. - Savannah Grove Precinct – only one working computer. Voter says it took 2 hours 47 minutes to vote.
10:30 a.m. - Computer problems have lead to voting delays at the Delmae Heights Elementary School Precinct in Florence. The poll manager says the computer that loads the voter‘s registration information is working, but it’s not pulling up the information as quickly as they need it. The poll manager said he hopes the computer will work faster, but he can’t make any promises. He is asking voters to please be patient.

According to WPDE's Tonya Brown, some voters waiting nearly 3 hours to vote.

9:36 a.m. - Voting problems continue at Church of Sandhurst in Florence. Some voters have been waiting in line for nearly three hours to vote. A few voters have left. Poll managers said the computer that holds the voter registration information isn’t working. Officials are having to manually load the voter’s information.
