The best and worst times to buy a Christmas tree

I always wondered why we never had a real Christmas tree when I was a kid. After years of asking my mother, it pretty much came down to two things: her fear of fires and cost!

It's true. As an adult, I love having a real Christmas tree, but it can be very expensive! Over the years, my husband and I have started to shop around a little and if my mom was still here, she'd laugh to know that I consider more and more, the purchase of an artificial one (in part due to cost, in part due to clean-up)!

Worst times to buy a tree: Cyber Monday and Black Friday (when prices are highest -  AVG $81-77).

Best time to buy a tree: CHRISTMAS EVE (Avg $47)
