FLORENCE, SC - 10:30PM Update - Active Shooter Situation at Vintage Place

Florence, SC-  Today, we remember one officer, Terrance Carraway, from the City of Florence, and pray for six other law enforcement officers receiving treatment at local hospitals in Florence, SC.

Earlier today, there was a stand-off at Vintage Place (just off Hoffmeyer Rd).  Florence County Sheriff's Office was serving a warrant, when deputies were fired upon by the suspect.  Officers from the City of Florence, and neighboring areas came to assist.  The standoff lasted hours.  The active shooter situation caused West Florence High School to go into lockdown at 4:30PM.  Law enforcement worked to safely evacuate the Vintage Place community and secure the area.  With the help of a negotiator, it was reported, the shooter is now in custody. The investigation is still ongoing.

Please keep the family of Officer Terrance Carraway in your prayers, and the other six officers that are being treated, also in your prayers.

Please listen to 103X tomorrow, for the latest.
