Jennifer Lopez understands that the show must go on — even if a creepy critter crawls up her neck.

The Kiss of the Spider Woman actress stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday (October 7) where she reflected on some of the strange "performance mishaps" she has faced throughout her career. One such instance was caught on camera when she performed in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in August, and a massive cricket got a front row seat to the concert, per the Daily Mail.

After Fallon played a video of the moment the insect made its way up her chest onto her neck before she grabbed it and tossed it away, Lopez joked that she was "freaking out" and recalled what she was thinking in the moment.

"I felt something happening and I thought it was a bug that was flying around, because I could see bugs in the lights," she recalled. "And I thought it was just, like, touching me and coming back, but it was crawling!"

The "Let's Get Loud" singer remembered feeling "little legs" crawling on her skin and thinking "just try to finish the song." As Fallon praised her for "[sticking] the landing," she said that's when she realized the bug "might be on me" rather than flitting away and back.

"I didn't know it was that big, I didn't know what it was," she said. "But when [she threw it], I saw it in the light and it looked like a helicopter. It was the size of a helicopter!"

Listen to Lopez recount the unexpected encounter below.
