Kieran Culkin may be best known for his portrayal of Roman Roy in the hit series Succession, but you'll soon see him take on a completely different role — and this one is more aquatic.
Culkin is set to appear in a Super Bowl commercial for personal finance company NerdWallet in which he voices a talking beluga whale that only one person on a boat can understand, per People. While the concept itself sounds hilarious, the end result appears to be even better, as Culkin said it made his wife, Jazz Charton, "keel over" laughing.
"I showed my wife it to see what you think, and she actually laughed really hard," he said.
The moment that seemed to break Charton came when the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World actor attempted to make a whale noise when the marine mammal tells the man he's speaking with to "stop going, 'Ah ah ah ah ah.'"
"I had to pause it, which I'm really happy about, because it was something I wasn't sure that I could do that they put in the script," he said, adding, "But they said, 'Do it kind of like a dolphin or a whale.' So I gave it a shot and they used it. I go, 'Ah ah ah.' And that made my wife keel over. Whatever writer came up with that, that was pretty clever."
The award-winning actor, who recently earned an Oscar nomination for his work in A Real Pain, shares two kids with Charton, 5-year-old daughter Kinsey and 3-year-old son Wilder. In December, he revealed how he loves most "everything" about being a dad except for one surprising detail.
