Ye's fans are confused about his professional status after several collaborations he's involved with were announced following his alleged decision to retire.

The artist formerly known as Kanye West sent shockwaves worldwide after he informed Rich The Kid about his plans to retire on Tuesday, July 9. Rich posted his conversation with Ye on social media, in which he claimed, "I am retiring from making music professionally. Not sure what else to do." Less than an hour later, Rich deleted the message and teased his new project Life's A Gamble, which is executive produced by Ye and features three collaborations.

โ€œACTUALLY WE DROPPING FRIDAY ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ 7/19,โ€ he wrote on X.

Rich The Kid's upcoming album contains Ye's collaborative smash hit "Carnival" featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Playboi Carti along with their upcoming song "Plain Jane." Rich also includes "Gimme A Second 2" with Peso Pluma and ยฅ$ on the album as well as other guest appearances from French Montana, Rob49, Chief Keef, BIA, Offset, Quavo and the late TakeOff. Prior to his announcement, Rich had delayed the release of his album.

โ€œIma b honest idk when tf my album dropping, but 'Lifeโ€™s A Gamble' & Iโ€™m rich forever ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ," he wrote in an Instagram Story.

Ye will also appear on his friend Consequence's upcoming single "No Apologies." Amid the dysfunction about Ye's retirement, the Queens, N.Y. native posted a snippet of the track to his Instagram timeline. The song is set to appear on Cons' next LP Nice Doing Business With You along with his other collaboration with Ye "Blood Stain," which dropped in 2022.

"No Apologies" will arrive this Friday, July 12, however, a release date for the album has not been confirmed yet. Check out a snippet of the song below.
