Meet Merrill Cooper, America's newest high school graduate - at the age of 101.
In 1938, Cooper was attending Storer College, one of the few schools in West Virginia for Black students. But he had to drop out partway through his senior year when his family moved to Philadelphia.
During a visit to his old school in 2018, Cooper mentioned his regrets at never getting his diploma. So his family reached out to local and state authorities to make it happen.
Earlier this month, Cooper was finally honored with a diploma and a graduation ceremony.
