This letter to Santa from a little boy in Texas is just heartbreaking. A domestic violence shelter in Texas shared the note a boy named Blake wrote to Santa saying he just wanted a “good dad” for Christmas. The boy’s mom recently found the letter in his backpack. In it he tells Santa about how they had to leave home and go somewhere safe because “dad was mad” and made him scared. The boy then asked Santa for some books, a dictionary, a compass, and a watch. And goes on to write,“I also want a very, very, very, very good dad. Can you do that too?” Kids I know writing to Santa are asking for computers, phones, etc. and this little boy just wants a good father. I hope he gets everything on his list, including a good dad.
