There's been big talk recently about Lasik eye surgery and if it should be taken off the market, due to complications. A former FDA adviser says that it should. An optometrist estimates he's treated thousands of patients with LASIK complications. And a retired FDA adviser who voted to approve LASIK is now saying that vote was a mistake. He says they underestimated the number of complications from the surgery. This and more has all eyes on LASIK in the medical community (pun intended). I do know a few people who did LASIK, and they fortunately had no complications. Now, time will tell if the FDA takes a closer look into the situation. So if you were thinking about doing it, now's the time because if you wait, you may not be able to get it done. Here's a video with more details.
