A Miracle! Dog Rescued After Trapped Under Debris Over A Month After Dorian

It has been well over a month since Category 5 Hurricane Dorian hit the Bahamas on August 24, 2019. We all watched the devastation as it occurred, and many sent donations to provide some sort of relief to the people of the area. One organization, Big Dog Ranch Rescue knows well that people aren't the only ones affected by natural disasters, so they traveled to the Bahamas to rescue the animals they could find.

Through the use of an infrared drone, they found a rail thin dog stuck under an air conditioner surrounded by rubble. He had survived over a month on only rain water so they named him appropriately-- "Miracle." He was weak, but he was alive. Here is video of Miracle's rescue.

Big Dog Ranch Rescue is the largest no-kill dog rescue in the Southeastern United States.

Miracle is the 138th dog that BDRR rescued in the Bahamas, here's Miracle today. He has a long road ahead of him, but he is comfortable, eating, and gaining strength.
