Race weekend is just getting started and we’re already having a great time!
Hurricane Dorian is on everyone’s minds but for now we’ve had beautiful weather, the forecast remains sunny, and we will continue to be diligent with keeping track of the path of the storm. Updates can be found at103xonline.com
We started out at the Car hauler parade at the Florence Center. So many people came by to sample Pepsi products and sign up for the Bojangles Southern 500 tickets we were giving away courtesy of Pepsi. Thank you to all the people that said hello and told us they listen every morning, it meant a lot to us. Congratulations to our two winners, Ernest Chappell and Brent Shoemake!
Then this morning we broadcast the morning show live from the track to tough to tame. It’s a tradition for us to be out here and every year we watch the sunrise over the backstretch and get excited for the weekend to come. The garage opens to credentialed fans at 1130 this morning and the cars will be on the track for the first practice at 2:05 pm. Final practice is at 4:05pm.
