Everyone knows that there are plenty of different sports programs for your children to get involved in here in Florence-- everything from soccor, to T-ball, to football, to basketball. However, what if your kid isn't that athletic? What if your kid is more into playing video games? Well, now there is a program for the gamer in your life!
Florence County has a new E-Sports program that will begin September 20, but registration is going on now. The program is available in two age groups, 10-15, and 16-19.
Gaming no longer has the stigma of being a time-waster, there are formal leagues to join and colleges that offer scholarships. The program in Florence will have coaches from area schools like Coker College and USC-Sumter.
