Woman Uses Linkin Park Lyrics to Save Suicidal Man

An Orlando, FL man who said he had made some bad decisions and disappointed his family was sitting on the side of a bridge contemplating suicide when a woman drove by and noticed him. Cristina Settanni saw that everyone was driving past, so she decided that she needed to get out and see if she could help. She sat with him and recited Linkin Park lyrics to him, and he started crying.

The lyrics were from the song "One More Light."

They were "Who cares if one more light goes out? Well I do."

She was able to convey to him that she cared. Officers eventually made it to the scene and were able to pull him off the bridge and get him to a mental health hospital.

The song "One More Light" is from Linkin Park’s latest album, which was released two months before frontman Chester Bennington took his own life in July 2017. It's a tragedy that he's gone, but at least his legacy is saving lives.

Linkin Park heard of the story, and they tweeted out a thank you.
