Justin Bieber Calls For President Trump To 'Let Those Kids Out Of Cages'

An Evening With Justin Bieber - Performances

Justin Bieber appreciates what Donald Trump is doing for his friend A$AP Rocky, but he's still concerned about what's going on at the U.S. border.

"I want my friend out.. I appreciate you trying to help him," the pop star tweeted Friday night (July 19). "But while your [sic] at it @realDonaldTrump can you also let those kids out of cages?"

The message is in reference to the immigrant children who are being separated from their parents seeking asylum at the U.S. border and being held in cage-like detainment centers with little to no facilities.

A$AP Rocky has been locked in a Swedish prison for over two weeks after being involved in a street fight in Stockholm and has reportedly been held in inhumane conditions. Earlier this week, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West lobbied the White House to get involved in the rapper's release, which prompted Trump to get on the phone with the Swedish Prime Minister.

"Just had a very good call with @SwedishPM Stefan Löfven who assured me that American citizen A$AP Rocky will be treated fairly," Trump tweeted Saturday morning (July 20). "Likewise, I assured him that A$AP was not a flight risk and offered to personally vouch for his bail, or an alternative ... Our teams will be talking further, and we agreed to speak again in the next 48 hours!"

As of now, the rapper is expected to be incarcerated for at least another week, while prosecutors continue their investigation. They'll reportedly make their final decision by July 25.
