'The Four' Season 2 Episode 5: Find Out Who Lost Their Chair

The Four: Battle For Stardom

We are at the halfway point of The Four: Battle For Stardom Season 2. And the competition is fire!

Last week, we got a full two hours of epic challenges, and most members of The Four were able to defend their seats ... except for Whitney Reign. Whitney was challenged for her chair by 29-year-old New Jersey native Ali Caldwell, who ultimately took her place. By the end of the episode, the final four were Jesse Kramer, James Graham, Ali Caldwell and Sheraya J.

This week's episode of The Four kicked off with Jesse, James, Ali, and Sheraya performing The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face." Then, fans got to see the current Four meet last season's winner of the show, Evvie McKinney. Evvie gave the group some insight into what life has been like after winning season one, and what they have to look forward to.

Then, it was time for the first challenger of the night, 16-year-old rapper Dylan Jacob from Las Vegas. Dylan put his own spin on Craig Mack's "Flava In Ya Ear," which everyone in the room loved — including the panel. Even DJ Khaled said, "You comin' with that season two talk" and Diddy wanted to see a challenge and called his performance "impressive." So with three yes's from the panel, Dylan became the first challenge of the night, and of course, he went after Sheraya's chair.

Sheraya went first performing her own version of Missy Elliot's "She's A B*****," followed by Dylan with his own "Dat Cheese." Meghan Trainor called Dylan the strongest opponent Sheraya has been up against, but that it was Sheraya's best performance on the show. However, while both Diddy and Khaled told Dylan he had talent, it was Sheraya who ultimately won the battle. But, it was up to the audience to decide, and they agreed with the panel, choosing Sheraya as the winner.

The next challenger to take the stage was 20-year-old Jade Milan from Baltimore, who when she was younger was cast as young Nala in The Lion King on Broadway. Jade performed Bruno Mars's hit  Doo-Wops & Hooligans song "Grenade" and afterwards, while the panel thought she had talent, was unsure if she could take things to the next level for a challenge. And with three no's, Jade went home.

Up next, was 25-year-old Ronnie Smith Jr. from Miami who performed Usher's "U Don't Have To Call." All three members of the panel enjoyed Ronnie's performance, however Diddy did say that he felt like he needed to feel more from him. And more he got, because with three yes's Ronnie became the second challenge of the night, and chose to go up against James.

James was first and performed Boyz II Men's "On Bended Knee," followed by Ronnie singing Mario's "Let Me Love You." Diddy told Ronnie that he felt like he definitely grew with his second performance, and to James that he wanted to see more emotion from him. However, it was the audience's choice, and they voted James as the winner of the challenge, sending Ronnie home.

James Graham

The next challenger of the night was 26-year-old pop/R&B singer Noah Barlass from Welch, Oklahoma. Noah performed a stripped back version of Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey's smash hit "The Middle." Afterwards, Meghan told him, "You are so different in the best way" and that he is talented. Meanwhile, Diddy wasn't impressed with Noah's showman ship on stage. However, with three yes's from the judges, and a very loud applause from the audience, he won the chance to take on Jesse or Ali for their seat, and he chose Jesse.

Jesse was up first, performing a stripped back version of Sinéad O'Connor's "Nothing Compares 2U," followed by Noah with Jessie J's "Who You Are." After some feedback from the judges, during which Diddy explained he wasn't impressed with either performance, the audience voted, and chose Noah as the winner, sending Jesse home and taking his seat; and becoming the newest member of the Four.

The last challenger of the night was Kateri Bluford, a 23-year-old Gospel singer from Milwaukee, singing "I'm Getting Ready" by Tasha Cobbs Leonard. Meghan loved the performance, and while Diddy also thought Kateri's performance was "solid," he was unsure if she was "ready to eat." But Kateri assured him that she had the talent to take a seat on the Four. So, with three yes's from the panel, it was down to the final challenge of the night: Kateri vs. Ali.

Ali went first and sang Patti LaBelle's "Somebody Loves You Baby," followed by Kateri performing Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me." Everyone on the panel was impressed by both performances, and as Khaled even said, "This is what you call straight authentic greatness." But, ultimately, it was up to the audience to choose a winner, and voted that Ali keep her seat on the Four.

And with that, all four chairs were locked for the night. Here are your final Four of the who will take their talents to next week's episode: Noah Barlass, James Graham, Ali Caldwell and Sheraya J.
