Kenny Chesney's dog Ruby died in December, and the country music star continues to mourn his loss.
Chesney frequently shared photos of Ruby, a pitbull mix, on her Instagram account, and he even wrote a song in her honor.
Now he's taking another step in his healing by spreading her ashes, and he shared the poignant moment on Instagram.
Chesney posted a photo from the beach wearing his trademark hat and board shorts as he spreads Ruby's ashes. He wrote, "Spreading Ruby’s love on the West Coast. @darubagirl." Love and support from fans continue to pour in.
