Gov McMaster shuts down more businesses in South Carolina due to COVID-19

Governor Henry McMaster orders two new executive orders.

[Effective Monday, April 6, 2020 5:00PM] Closing non-essential businesses, namely furniture stores, jewelry stores, department stores, clothing stores, shoe stores, clothing & show accessories stores, florists, sporting goods stores, book, craft and music stores, luggage, and leather goods stores, and home furnishing stores.

(Not included in this order: hardware stores, firearm retailers, and home improvement stores)

Another order is effective now, suspends temporary rentals to people from hot-spots, as identified by the CDC. This is relevant to hotels, motels, short-term rentals, resorts, condominiums, bed & breakfasts, time share companies, vacation homes. (Exemptions for Military, first-responders, medical, or commercial transport)
