Former Florence Sherrif Kenney Boone arrested

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) —Former County Sheriff Kenney Boone was arrested Monday evening, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, or SLED.

Boone was charged with first-degree criminal domestic violence and violation of probation.

This arrest occurred less than a month from his plea agreement, for charges of embezzlement and misconduct in office.

Former Florence Sheriff, Kenney Boone sentenced, following guilty plea.

Former Florence County Sheriff, Kenney Boone pleaded guilty today to charges of misconduct in office, embezzlement, and campaign ethics violations. Boone faces probation and must pay back almost $17,000.
