The City of Florence was notified by SC Department of Environmental Control that a resident contracted West Nile Virus from a mosquito bite.
Florence officals will continue their normal operations for mosquito control, including the fogger truck, that follows a regular route , and responds to work orders by residents. City crews will continue to teat standing water areas.
