SCHOOLS:
- Horry County Schools will remain closed on Monday, September 17, 2018; however, employees who work 240 and 246 days are asked to report to work on Monday, September 17, 2018, as normally scheduled. HCS staff will continue to assess any damage to our facilities, monitor power outages, and work towards the re-opening of our schools.
- All Darlington County School District schools and district offices will be closed on Monday, September 17, 2018, due to the flooding in parts of our community. This Friday students were supposed to have the day off for parent-teacher conferences. Instead, Friday, September 21 will be a regular school day. Students should report to school as normal and attendance will be taken. We will reschedule parent-teacher conferences.
- Dillon School District Three and Four will be closed Monday September 17, 2018. More information will be forthcoming.
- Coastal Carolina University staff are in the process of cleaning up and assessing campus. Only essential personnel will report to work Monday, Sept. 17. Campus will be closed on Monday, Sept. 17. More information will be available Tuesday.
- Thomas Hart Academy in Hartsville, SC will remain closed on Monday and will reopen Tuesday, September 18th.
- Florence County School District 2 will operate on a two-hour delay Monday, September 17, 2018. Students, faculty, and staff should report to school and to work two hours later than their normally scheduled times.
- Florence County School District 3 will operate on a two-hour delay for students on Monday, September 17. All employees are asked to report at their normal times if conditions allow. The district will continue to monitor weather and road conditions.
- Florence District 5 will be operating under a 2-hour delay on Monday, September 17 for students and staff.
- Florence-Darlington Technical College closed Monday and Tuesday. Classes resume Wednesday on all campuses.
- FMU remaining closed Monday and Tuesday to reopen Wednesday.
- Marion County School District will be closed on Monday, September 17, 2018.
- Lee County School District will be closed on Monday, September 17, 2018. All extracurricular activities (after-school programs and athletic events) are cancelled.
- Faith Christian Academy - Florence, SC for Monday, September 17 and Tuesday, September 18
- Pee Dee Academy closed Monday.
- Robeson Community College will remain closed Monday, September 17, through Wednesday, September 19
- Hartsville Christian School will be closed Monday, September 17.
- MMTC Conway will be closed for students, faculty, and staff through Wednesday, September 19.
- Public schools Robeson County schools are closed until further notice.
- St. Paul Christian Child Care Center in Florence SC will be closed Monday, Sept. 17th.
- Horry-Georgetown Technical College are canceled Monday, September 17 and Tuesday, September 18. All campuses will reopen on Tuesday and employees are asked to return to work Tuesday if they are able to safely do so.
- Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School in Darlington will reopen for classes on Tuesday, September 18th.
CHILD CARE:
- A Step Ahead CDC in Conway will be closed Monday September 17.
- Little Promises Learning Center is Mullins is closed 09/17/2018.
CITY OFFICES AND SERVICES:
- The City of Darlington offices will be closed Friday, Sept. 14.
- Anchor/Beachside Taxi and Shuttle Services of Myrtle Beach will remain closed until at least Monday.
- SOPAKCO, SC Facilities will be closed Monday.
- The City of Darlington Planning Commission meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 18, has been cancelled.
- City of North Myrtle Beach: Council Meeting Sept 17 cancelled, City Court cancelled for the week, City Hall, Aquatic and Fitness Center, and J. Bryan Floyd Community Center, Park & Sports Complex, open regular hours. Society of Shaggers events cancelled until further notice.
- The City Darlington Beautification Board meeting scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 19, has been postponed until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26.
- No garbage or recycling will be collected on Friday by the City of Darlington, no recycling collection Sept. 14. Recycling will resume Tuesday, Sept. 18, as scheduled.
- Florence County Clerk of Court jury panel for common pleas for the week of September 17, 2018 has been cancelled for the week.
- Horry County Solid Waste Authority list of centers that will be open from 1PM-6PM, Sunday, September 16, 2018: Toddville, Brooksville, Recycle Road, Loris, McDowell, Landfill, Red Bluff, Sarvis Crossroads, Jackson Bluff, Longs, Aynor. All other Recycling Centers will remain closed on Sunday, September 17, 2018. All Recycling Centers are scheduled to open at 8 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018, depending upon weather and road conditions.
- As of 5:00 P.M. September 16, 2018 all Florence County area shelters will be closing.
- The Myrtle Beach Social Security Administration will be closed Monday, 09/17/18, due to facility issues caused by Hurricane Florence. We expect to reopen to our public on Tuesday, 09/18/18.
- Conway DMV will be closed Monday.
- Horry County Council on Aging along with it’s 10 senior centers will remain closed through Monday.
