Disney Lost $2.7 million By Not Having Baby Yoda Available For The Holidays

Baby Yoda is the most adorable creature to hit our screens in a long time, so many people questioned why there weren't any officially licensed toys for sale this holiday season. Merchandising is Disney's thing, so what gives?! The answer is that they held back on purpose to prevent spoilers.

Officials estimate that they lost out on $2.7 million. Some (like me) think that's a very conservative number, and they probably lost out on a whole lot more.

The good news is, Baby Yoda is finally for sale. The bad news is, you're going to have to wait three months to get him.

Disney's official store has a cuddly 11-inch plush toy you can pre-order now ($24.99, one per customer), for delivery sometime after March 1, 2020.

Also, a word to the wise, this pre-order has already sold out once and been re-listed.
