Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade May Not Be Able To Fly Iconic Balloons

Um, what?

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade happens every year, and it is wonderful, magical, and the way I start out my Thanksgiving...oh and with a mimosa.

There is nothing like watching artists sing, dancers dance, Santa ride his sleigh, and of course see the giant balloons of Charlie Brown, Cat in The Hat, and more.

This year, however, things may be different. Due to higher than normal wind expectancy, some of the balloons may have to be grounded....actually 16 of their iconic balloons! NO CHARLIE BROWN?! Please wind gods, calm it down ok?

They cannot be flown when sustained winds exceed 23 mph and gusts exceed 34 mph, per city regulations. Luckily things may change by Thursday...at least that is what I am telling myself.

Back in 1997 the winds were so bad that one of their balloons (Cat in the Hat) knocked down some people and they actually got hurt. So it is totally understandable why they don't want that to happen again.

Just fingers crossed y'all that the wind calms and we don't miss the best part of the parade!
